CONSTRUCTION DETAILS
Salt Spray Chamber is made up of Polypropylene, with Polycarbonate door & see through glass on the top which is hinged to the chamber and is opened & closed by shock absorber support The specimen is held on or placed at the center of the chamber. It should be maintained at an angle of 45° slanting to the chamber. The top lid is held on the chamber with water seal for controlling the fog leakage. The whole unit is mounted on four wheels. Other accessories in it are control panel, specimen holder, an atomizer with reservoir. The chamber’s temperature is controlled by digital temp. controller to maintain 35°C and 95 to 100% relative humidity with atmospheric pressure. The sodium chloride with distilled water of 5% solution is charged in reservoir. The sterilized air pressure is 15 to 25 lbs, maintained in atomizer to produce the fog mist. The condensation is 1 to 2ml/h of 80sq mm area for an average working hour.
